The Aviator PPL course is an accelerated program for private pilot. This is a joint effort between Jet Access, Motion Flight Sim and Stick and Rudder Aviation. We combine simulator, ground, tailwheel and in-aircraft training to produce excellent pilots in less time. Our goal is to save you money while producing well rounded, safe and proficient pilots.
The FAA minimum for private pilot is 40 hour. The national average is 75 hours (according to the FAA). The Aviator program is designed to succeed in 43 hours.
How do we do this?
We believe that simulator training is the key. Our philosophy is “Learn the maneuver in the sim before you get in the aircraft”. Our program involves 16 hours of simulator training.
We also believe in tailwheel instruction. It will simply make you a better pilot! We include 5 hours of training in the Citabria from Stick and Rudder Aviation.
We ask specifically for 3 commitments:
you commit to training 2-3 times every week. This is an accelerated course and requires commitment
you commit to studying all lessons beforehand. The best students are the ones who come most prepared. We don’t spoon feed you.
you have $18,000 in funds available before you start. Piecemealing the training doesn’t work well and will yield disappointing results.
